Guest Musician: Linda MacFarlane

Multi-faceted Musician

Linda MacFarlane
Linda MacFarlane

Linda developed her musical skills from a young age, starting with violin, then onto folk and classical guitar. The guitar brought her to many musical venues from church, camps, schools, libraries and special community events.

Her love for instruments expanded when she was introduced to both the mountain dulcimer and the ukulele. With these instruments she became a Certified Music Practitioner providing healing therapeutic music in medical settings, yoga classes and meditation sessions.

In addition, Linda has composed and written children’s songs, many on her album titled, “Songs for Kids, Grandkids, and the Forever Young at Heart”. Her album of meditative music, “Pastel Colors, Gentle Tunes on the Dulcimer” gives the listener a relaxing musical journey with mostly original mountain dulcimer selections.

Linda believes, “Playing music is joyful, learning music is a process, sharing music is community”. We each hold the grace to be an active participant in music making, whether the player or the listener.
